Alongside the training programme, the summer school invites poster submissions presenting original research, ongoing projects, or tools and resources related to the digital study of Armenian and under-resourced languages. Posters will be displayed throughout the week and presented during dedicated poster sessions.

Topics

Submissions are welcome on any topic at the intersection of digital methods and under-resourced languages, including but not limited to:

• Computer Vision & document image processing — OCR/HTR for historical scripts, layout analysis, manuscript digitisation, heritage image segmentation
• Natural Language Processing for under-resourced languages — corpus building, morphological analysis, POS tagging, dependency parsing, named entity recognition, machine translation
• Speech & language documentation — ASR adaptation, forced alignment, transcription tools, dialect and variation
• Linguistic annotation & interoperability — treebanks, Universal Dependencies, TEI/EpiDoc, CoNLL-U, annotation tools and workflows
• Digital Humanities infrastructure — databases, digital libraries, FAIR data, metadata standards, linked open data, long-term preservation
• AI/ML for cultural heritage — language modelling, embeddings, fine-tuning for under-resourced languages, evaluation and bias
• Armenian language and heritage — any of the above applied to Classical, Eastern, Western or dialectal Armenian, or Armenian-related corpora

 

Submission Guidelines

• One-page abstract (max. 500 words, excluding references), in English
• Include title, author(s), affiliation(s), and up to 5 keywords
• Format: PDF
• Submissions presenting tools, datasets or ongoing projects are explicitly encouraged

 

Key Dates

• 20 May 2026 : Submission deadline
• 1 June 2026 : Notification of acceptance
• 6–10 July 2026 : Summer school & poster sessions

 

Review Process 

Submissions will be reviewed by the programme committee. Accepted posters will be displayed throughout the summer school (AO, portrait, printing at the charge of the author).

Authors of accepted posters will have a short slot during a dedicated poster session to present their work.
